Night Latches

Postby RobinWilliamson » 7 May 2006 15:58

Feel a little silly asking this question but someone will prob know, I need a BS night latch for an outward opening door hinges on the LH as you look from outside, Ie a standard Nightlatch but with the face reversed. Are these avalible, special order? I know this one can't be moded or changed (yale deadlocking type) where as some of the older models can be spun inside the body.

Thanks

Rob

Union do a roller bolt type which works well and yale have one designed for this purpose if you want to stick with the brand and lock type. Im not sure if you can get a bs rated one though unless you go down the chubb sash lock route.

thanks for the quick reply, i've just looked at the BS chubb ch4l67e it looks like its a deadbolt style night latch so will work either way, can anybody confirm this? also if someone has one lying around could the measure the rebate mounting plate height width etc?

many thanks
