Help I.D. Keys

Postby 2hammers » 22 May 2006 13:28

These keys have been in my office for as long as anybody can
remember. Nobody knows what locks they are for.

Any ideas?

I know they are for lever locks but I'm not sure if they are for
padlocks etc. They look like they have 7 notches.

Oh and they are about 3" long

Cheers

Small security containers of some description. Will be heavy plate steel construction.
Do you have field staff that collect cash?

Yes mate we do, but not in my department. My first thoughts were
small cash boxes or safes because of the 7 notches.

They have been in a drawer for at least 2 years so I don't suppose
it matters now.

Cheers

Well as former UK bank employee they look like the vault gate keys. They are not actual keys to the vault door, but to the gate behind the door used to secure the vault during trading hours
