Its a pin tumbler, and a darn good one from the look of the pics.

I dont know the brand though.......

  :P

DO I win?

I also see pins, springs, a ball bearing, a plug, and a retainer clip.

The rest, I dont know.

Cool idea though, the whole guess the lock game. 8) 8)

Can you fill out your profile, that way out of the whole world the members at least have some basis to start their thoughts,

Im guessing a european lock,

A dimple lock,

Maybe a Dom/MTL style lock,

Multilock Garrison model or possibly multilock 7x7.

Well i thought Garrison like Zeke, the keyway can be seen to be 90' to the rown of pins so its a dimple lock, the thing not going for it being a Garrison is the holes which would be on the side of the key,

It could be a Winkhaus,

As far as I know Winkhas only makes or made the X-tra model in dimple locks. If that is the case this is definately not the X-tra lock shown in the pictures as the pin stacks are not arranged correctly.

It's interesting to read peoples contradictions about this one. I thought it may be easy.

Then again as locksmiths would you come across this often, or have the oportunity to take high security cylinders to bits?

Sorry i was meaning a normal keyed Winkhaus not a dimple,

It makes it harder when we dont know what part of the world the lock comes from,

Locksmiths dont regulary strip locks no as its too time consumeing, those that do tend to do it for fun to pick or they are rekeying them in a shop,

It's from a Euro cylinder...

Kinda reduces somewhat the possibilities. :)

Meh... I'm stumped. :(

I think we all knew it was a euro profile that part is simple, it would help if you actually told people if they are wrong or close and like weve said fill out your profile,
