Oval cylinder for UPVC door

Postby bowleya » 12 Nov 2006 17:47

Hi All

I was asked by a friend to change all his UPVC door locks. The front and Back doors were standard Euro cylinder so easily enough. When i came to the patio doors it had a Oval cylinder which was a first for me, what made it unusual was the size as it appeared smaller than a standard oval cylinder. The question is does anybody know where i may be able to get one

I know that particular brands eg Zone ovals are slightly bigger and cant be fitted to replace a Union also Unions ovals use a different retaining screw which is contersunk in the cylinder case. Union ovals are sometimes markrf as Monarch. As said Duffells should hold a replacement.
