Hi could anybody help me, I have been emailing r b medical on a fair few occations, regarding some new equipment.
I have heard nothing from them and I am wondering weather they still exist, have they closed down for the holiday season/have they closed down completely/or do they only deal with large companys,or even are they just been dam right ignorant .its probably the latter but when looking at their site they say email for catalogue and price list.

I got a nice polite quick reply when I emailed a few months back. Maybe the lady who sent it is away on holiday for a few weeks.
I know that they're a very trade-only oriented company so perhaps an email from a personal email address gets a different response to one from a work account?
They wouldn't sell direct to me anyway, just pointed me to Duffell's. Or it might have been Aldridges. Or both. Whatever it was I cant remember off the top of my head as I've never bought any of their kit.

I have a trading account with them and so can obviously buy direct. It took a while to set up while they confirmed my credentials but it was worth it. They do have some fabulous stuff, well made too!
My next items to purchase will be a couple of their padlock picks, one for the era insurance padlocks and one for the Squire 660. Why??? Cos I like shiny new stuff and get restless when there are new toys available.
Like Nick said, perhaps they only deal with trading lockies.
regards

I have their curtain pick, and at the weekend got their 2 in 1 uni pick. Excellent quality tooling. much better than the souber picks. Yes they are still about. try ringing.

I think it was very ignorant of them to keep ignoring my emails so I took my business else where, namely souber.
I have quite a few 2in1s and overlifters from souber, some being 7 or more years old, infact like an idiot I accidentally sat on one the other month and seriously bent it, I thought that would be the end of it, but no, I straightened it up and its still working ok lol.
The only trouble I have with the souber picks is the thumb wheel comes off eventually, so I just put a small blob of weld over and that does the job.
I have been thinking about buying some silver steel to make some myself, I have looked at the sticky on making them and it’s a very good guide but I am not sure that the brass will be strong enough. What do you think? Or is their any other material that you would use ?
Richard.
