Does anyone work for the above and have you had problems getting payment. I have had payment outstanding for months but keep calling chasing threatening with court action extra but no avail.

they are well documented on most locksmith forums as non payers, they have recently sent letters to contractors claiming that they are unable to pay anyone for a few more months as their servers have crashed, feeble excuse.
they are begging locksmiths to take on jobs and keep the cash to reduce their debt, most are black listing them.

Very stupid business model.
"Hey, lets piss off a bunch of locksmiths who know where we live and have no trouble getting in to collect."

I got the letter but I have told them exactly the job details i did and for how much so all they need to do is write a cheque and pop it in the post but no chance. I think they are going under and trying to srcape together a few last minute jobs before they ressurect themselves as some other name address etc and start trading again. I turned down a job they gave me last week and they could work out why

I really don't understand how these "farm out work" ""locksmith companies"" manage to be so successful in ripping off locksmiths.
If some 1-800-LOCKSMITH company called me, saying they had a customer locked out and if I'd take it... I'd say sure! If they tried telling me that they would be doing the billing, I'd snicker to myself and say SURE! Then they'd tell me the location and the customer's #, where I'd show up... pop the lock... and bill the customer myself.
If they already charged the customer over the phone, I'd tell the customer they should apply a stop-payment on their card, because "I never gave these guys authorization to bill you. I'm the locksmith here."

Someone please enlighten me by answering my above question...
How the heck do these scam artists do it? Why don't you all just charge the customer yourselves? You do accept cash, check and credit card, right?

I will try to explain the way it works over here in the UK now, please all UK locksmiths correct me if I am wrong but here goes.
The customer’s insurance company will have a contract with one of these companies i.e.
Secure Leigh on sea
Dyno rod ECT
These companies will promise a 24hr callout not just for lockouts but emergency gas/water callouts ECT ECT. Its just saves the customer having to ring around and hunt for a tradesman themselves because their insurance company does all that for them.
These companies will have so many tradesmen/locksmiths ECT on their books and just ring them to do the job and obviously take a certain % from the lcoksmith just for being a middle man really

About to take action myself for 2 jobs I've not been paid for in January and February. As Andy says, don't touch them with a bargepole.

I've so-far not had a problem with lock solutions but safe & secure are overdue, this morning I went back to the job on estate agents front door. I explained to the estate agent that they and I may have been robbed bye S&S and I have decided rather than take back my property now,(after reading on other sites) to take legal action if I hav'nt recieved full payment bye monday,. The nice lady was, at first shocked, then very appologetic, as I was leaving she was on the phone to her head office. They have recently moved their main office to Duke st in chelmsford

Why don't the lot of you simply march down to their office with flaming torches and pitch forks. I mean this in the most literal sense. It will attract media coverage.

I've had loads of calls from them over the last couple of month to cover work for them.
Answer always the same, NO.
Even if I was strugggling big time, i wouldn't resort to working for them, Why work for someone that is known not to pay???
