Euro deadcase on APG door

Postby mhole » 21 Aug 2008 9:21

I'm trying to ID a euro lockcase on an APG door. Neither Aldridge or Duffels show *any* euro cases for APG doors, and I've had no luck searching with google.

I did manage to find a thumbnail image of the lock in question, but on a website which doesn't identify it, or sell it. Here it is:

No real idea, but the bolt looks like a US style thing. I saw a Yale one once on a warrant, but that wasn't euro profiled.

I've seen a few of those Yale one too (P5221 is the model number if anyone cares :D )

They have a really easy DE method that someone had used to open 3 doors in a hostel. The other 2 doors were 'opened' with a good old fashioned Size 9 Nike. There is very, very little strength in the bolts even though they look quite substantial.

Back on topic, I think I've seen that APG lock in a Union Specialised catalogue. Maybe a mainland European supplier would be more helpful, seeing how comparitively rare lever locks are in most of Europe. I'd be really surprised if there weren't quite a few Euro APG lockcases about.
