Multipoint boltwork for deadbolt cylinder and knobset

Postby workstation » 25 Nov 2008 20:08

A few years ago I saw somewhere on the web a set of multipoint boltwork for use with an American style deadbolt cylinder and knobset.

It was a multipoint mortise lock similar in appearance to a Euro multipoint, but with the latch operated by an American style knobset and the security bolts (I think they were hooks or maybe pivoting bolts) operated by a deadbolt cylinder pair. I assume the idea was that it could be retrofitted to an existing door already drilled for a knobset and deadbolt, or perhaps used to give higher security and better draft sealing on a new door with a traditional appearance.

I am trying to find product this again through googling, but I don't seem to be able to.

Does anyone know who the manufacturer might have been, and if they still make this? I *think* it was a small European firm, but I'm not sure at all.

Thanks very much!

The description sounds a lot like Vachette.

Thanks for your reply!

Do you have a link to what you mean? Or a search term for it?

I have had a search on their website, but I don't see anything like that, unfortunately.
