Seriously great work here. Your pick sets are coming out looking amazing. Let us know how they work out for you in use!

Great looking picks Omegared. How long do they take to make from start to finish?

Great job again! Are the tips soldered or brazed? How did you manage to solder such small parts together without melting everything down? How about rounding off the edges of the pick shafts? A quick sand paper job could make their shafts more oval instead of rectangular, allowing them to move smoothly in the keyway. I'm not saying your picks aren't good, this is just an idea to improve them Cheers

Another very stylish set of tools. Great work omegared. If only I had some dimple locks to play with now. The regular set of picks you made is sexy, too. Perhaps you should think about talking to resellers, like raimundo does with his bogotas?

Femurat, I think he may have simply carved them out of a sawsall blade, these blades are thick so he had to do that to get them into the keyways.
while the shafts of the picks are beautifully executed, I personally might have tried to round the square edges of these shafts for greater agility in the keyway, that is not any criticism to take personally, its just what I think. I am not trying to put down anyones work, just adding my true thoughts.

Thanks Ray, now I understand how they're made. I'm used to bristles so I always imagine similar material thickness... here we are talking about very thick material so the tip was simply carved and not soldered. Yes, rounding the tip can help too. I was just speculating and gave importance to the shaft section: an oval shaped shaft could turn smoother in the keyway rather than a rectangular one. So I think it could give a better feedback. Cheers

I had thought about myself, but go very well, he must assess the long manipulation weilawei wrote:Another very stylish set of tools. Great work omegared.
