Swiss Sea cam lock

Postby kilae » 5 Apr 2014 8:23

Some picture from a Swiss Sea cam lock. It's a Sea-Normal model which is produced since 1949.
With 5 sliders on both sides, no sidebar!

Mess with the BEST, die like the REST!

I search: All magnetic locks (Miwa Magnetic, MagLok, Mottura MC), Trioving locks, Xylok, S&G 951, ...
I have: Swiss locks like Sea, Kaba and Keso, magnetic locks and some more :D

Interesting looking at the sliders and seeing how the bittings are arranged. This lock reminds me of an automotive sidewinder lock, but using pins instead of half-wafers.

Being Swiss made, bet it is of much greater quality and is harder to pick than a sidewinder lock. :)

Wouldn't that design make it impossible to overlift the pins actually making it easier to pick?

No, you can still overlift those sliders. They can rise above or drop below the shear line.
