Chubb 114 Pick set

Does anyone have any experience in using the Chubb 114 Pick set (decoder) as supplied by SKS. Does it fit all chubb locks both old and new and would it be usable on any other BS locks?

the pick sold by SKS is the staddon pick, you will find loads of info in this section on the chubb pin and cams, it is not as practical as the safeventures tool and not quite as good, but yes it opens old and new 114 locks, and NO IT DOES NOT OPEN ANY OTHER BS LOCKS, it opens just 3G114,3G114E,3K74,3K74E,3G115 and 3K75 locks, it wont open other chubb models or any other bs lock.

my advice is buy the safeventures tool as its a better tool and you can cut a key from the pick. and its about same price.

I have this pick and recently ive been having problems getting a plasticine read and cant suss out why. Do you guys still take a read when uyou use the p+c. I do with the Legge as it makes it far easier never used the 114 though.
Does anyone have the instruction manual on the Staddon,i cant find mine and may lend it to Steven to break .. i mean use

I always still take an impression first with the 114 and Legge pin and cams.

With the Legge, an impression gets you near enough spot on straight away, especially as it has very forgiving levers where the pins can be a size out and still set the gate where you want it. I've also had a 114 that's opened first time after an impression, but that's just luck!

Martin ,ive never done the curtain with it only the levers! Paul yes it probably is!! I SP[I]LT a cup of tea on my keyboartd today and i]ts really buyggerted up the keys

I bent my first Invincible key being heavy handed on a stiff lever, i bent it back and it snapped, made steel ones after that,

Andy, unplug your keyboard, turn it over, undo all the screws, turn it back over and lift the top off, give it a wipe with a dapm sponge and wait for it to dry then put it all back together, while your there hoover out all the dust and fluff :wink:

Shrub,found an easy way,unplugged it and swapped with it with the wifes!
I think i must have something wrong with my plasticine??!! i just found an Era Viscount and thought id have a go at decoding it as ive never done one before and youve guessed it cant really get an impression!

I did try both. I presumed it should be the back end(turn to lock) though.
The levers are 42421 and only the 4s read is it normal for 1s and 2s not to read? Or am i just being an ar*e here?
