Euro cylinder Supplier

Postby scifibuff » 12 Oct 2005 11:38

Hi all
I am soon leaving the UK for sunny Spain starting a new life and a new locksmith business. I am hitting a brick wall trying to find suppliers of Euro cylinders, key blanks and other bits and pieces. I have tried a few in Spain but got no reply, my internet search has not gone to well either.
I am planning on purchasing a stock in the UK and taking it with me maybe using the UK supplier all the time.
Does anybody know of some suppliers of medium and and high security Euro and Oval profiles of every size where I my be able to get a catalogue. I want to give a complete service so a reliable supplier is a must.
Alot of my customers are going to need a minium of 5 keys with their locks and a possiblity of keying alike and master key systems.
So a supplier who will do this would be a advantage as well.
I have done alot of research but as with all new business its going to be a big learning curve to know what the customer wants.
thanks

I'm not sure they use the same size cylinders in Spain do they? I may be wrong but if not, it's a waste of time stocking up before you go!

For any picks for the locks over there, there was a Spanish guy at the MLA GMEX show with an impressive array of picks. Not sure who he was but if you're interested PM Chris B as I think he may have got some details off him.

They do supply to Ireland, hence the euro pricing.

I remember some time ago we had someone inquire about some Lince locks from Spain. If I remember correctly, most locks are domestically produced. Perhaps you should pm Chubby He hasn't been around in quite some time, but may have email notification on his pm's.

Unfortunately, Chubby has no contact info listed, other than a PM.

Has anyone had any contact with Chubby lately? I miss his subtle attitude toward thieves...and complete idiots.
