That's cool! It would be neat if this happened in the near future. Oh, and anyone in the twin cities area- the local ALOA chapter has a meeting Wednesday night at O'garas in St. Paul. It's open to anyone....

Saginaw, Michigan!

Bet you a cup of coffee i can open that safe. I am very new to this forum. A hunting partner of mine that happins to be a state cop, Watched me open a series of locks and a safe with permission from our church. He has suggested that i get a locksmithing licence after he carefully inspected my homemade picksets.

I have a hunch that this may be as much fun as learning that i am not the only person in the world that collects geiger counters.

The internet is a great place for like minded people.

Hey, I'd be up for a meet up in the twin cities, I hear DB is here sometimes and Rai is a local too. And 77luke. I might come to one of the ALOA meetings, is there an age restriction? what do people do there?

You neeeeeeed to make a trip to my area sometime db. I'll put you up in a local hotel (my dollars) since we no longer have room in our place for ya with the kids and all. I'll supply you will all the locks you need to keep you occupied for your stay even  . You can even take lots of 'em home with ya fer locksports meetins and such (redneck accent kickin en).

I'd almost be tempted, but that sounds like one heckuva drive. I suppose I'd probably be better to fly. However, I'm already hoping to zip off to BC just after Christmas, so... it'd be pretty touch and go.

I am, however, just about to land a pretty sweet contract, so who knows... it might just have an impact on my "travel budget". :)

BUT... I *DO* have room at my house. Heck, I've got room for you AND wife AND kids. I'll even put on the grits for y'all and break out the bluegrass. Hooo doggy! Good times.

I'm just not sure you and your family could survive a Winnipeg winter. ;)

There is no age limit- I just found out about it so it will be the first time for me. From what I understand, they just talk about current events in the locksmithing industry (new laws, licensing...etc) and then have a guest speaker who talks about a new product.

Hey! It's not the middle of nowhere, though you CAN see it from his front porch. :P

*squinting looking through the middle of his nowhere in Illinois* hey, I think I see you!!!

You know you're in the middle of nowhere when you're happy the farmers have harvested crops so you can actually see on coming traffic at intersections!
