May I recommend you guys check out your local 2600 or Defcon meet up, they happen once a month and have been going on for years, so it's easier to meet like minded people who are into hacking, lockpicking, electronics, etc.
Here's a list of current meetings in Florida for 2600 Magazine readers, usually first Friday of each month:
http://www.2600.com/meetings/Florida
Gainesville: In the back of the University of Florida's Reitz Union food court. 6 pm
Jacksonville: O'Brothers Irish Pub, 1521 Margaret St. 6:30 pm
Melbourne: Matt's Casbah, 801 E New Haven Ave. 5:30 pm
Orlando: Panera Bread, Fashion Square Mall.
Sebring: Lakeshore Mall food court, next to payphones. 6 pm
Titusville: StoneFire Art Gallery & Studios, 2500 S Washington Ave.
Here are Defcon groups by Area code, email the admins listed for your area code to see if they're interested in having a lockpicking component to their meetings.
http://www.defcon.org/html/defcon-group ... index.htmlNote: That scene is very dynamic.. in MA we had (413) meetings for 2600 in the same spot for 10 years, then people fell out of the group, graduated from college, got married, and meetings just stopped.. I heard a new crowd is heading up meetings now at a new location, so check to see if the meetings in your area are still alive.
hope this helps!
