Varjeal, I would like to ask you if you have ever done a favor for a family member other than opening a lock. If you have, why didn't you call a professional? If a family member askes me to help them with something, and I feel confident that I can, I will. It is hard to believe that offends you.
I am sure EVERYONE that reads has done a favor for someone they care about, to help them save money(changed a tire, fixed an appliance, assembled a piece of furniture, ect). I would also bet that you didn't even think of telling them that they have to call a professional.
I sell and install window coverings for a living. There are alot of tricks of the trade in my business. I share these openly with friends, family, and even potential customers. If a customer of mine wants to install his window coverings himself(instead of paying me), I tell him the best way to do it.
There is nothing immoral, unethical or illegal about helping someone.
