Yes, too many other people around, too. I'd rather do it at someone's house.

I'm cool with Chicago... BUT... don't make any decisions based on me, because my attendance is iffy at best. When is this being planned for?

It wouldn't be a party without ya, db!

I'm not certain on the date yet. Once we get the number of people and location more solidified, we'll settle one date. Although, some suggestions of when the best time would be for people are always welcome!

Later in the year tends to be better for me, but if it is just a weekend (if I can manage to fly in and out) I suppose just about any time will work. But warmer temps are always nice too.

Only other concern is that if it is too close to Defcon that might be bad from a pocketbook perspective. I'd *really* like to be there this year.

Hmm...

I was thinking more spring-ish, as the temperatures wouldn't be so bad, and not it's not too close to any cons. I've got my own fare share of cons I'm planning on attending and yes, the pocketbook will be suffering. Between E3, HOPE, and Defcon, it's going to be an interesting year.

Let me see if there are any holiday weekends we can do this on and I will report back.

Okay so I'm thinking we can do this sometime in March.

I need some suggestions as to when people are free.

I hope it's during spring break, then. :)

Keep my name on the "maybe, at best" list. March is when my work year starts rolling, and it's also when Winnipeg has the Home Expo, which is a big deal for me in my business. So, time away around the home show might be impossible.

Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of sooner than later. Perhaps February or March?

I'm flying into Chicago from ABQ on Feb 22nd and staying till the 28th. If you guys choose to do this thing in 2-3 weeks, I would love to attend!

Someone pick a date and roll with it, though. If it ends up being the first week of March, I could probably belay my flight until then.

I just stumbled on this thread and I'd love to go to a gathering! I'm in Peoria, IL and if people were interested in coming this way, my father-in-law has 25 acres and a nice size barn we could possibly use. Granted, it's not the most central location for all, but if interested let me know and I'll ask him if we could use it.
