LSI Edmonton Meeting: Friday May 26th. wOOt!

Postby Varjeal » 27 May 2006 1:44

Well, if your in the Edmonton or Alberta area and you missed the Edmonton chapter of LSI on Friday evening, sucks to be you.

Render, frollard and I met for some yummy B.B.Q. and a pretty intense evening of picking locks. In total we picked over 73 different locks in a matter of 4hrs. In that regard, I've decided to issue a challenge to any other chapter to try and beat us. :).....and yes, we have the pictures to prove it. Look for them soon to be up at www.locksport.com along with some pics of the participants, and our lock table.

Locks included an assortment of weiser, schlage, sargent, medeco, yale, and others. There were no electronic or electric tools involved at all, so let's see how the rest of ya can do!

Up to the challenge? 8)

P.S.: Db....feel free to copy and post this for the locksport website.

73 locks in 4 hours? I could do that myself while eating Doritos and watching back-to-back reruns of Everybody Loves Raymond! :P

Just kidding, nice work. :)

I'll get the locksport site updated after the weekend... I'm off to the cottage again in the morning. That'll give you time to email me the pics. 8)

Actually, that will give Renderman time to get the photos to you. :)

Yeah, we weren't in a hurry to set a record, but for some reason the locks just kept piling up. 8)

I don't think Halifax has that many locks :)

We have an over abundance of locks as the photo's will show. A bit too much scrounging around I think.

It was a fun evening and as usual we did'nt get to half the stuff we wanted, but the pick-a-thon was quite a bit of fun and really good practice.

Unfortunatly we did have one casualty. My first Bogota broke. It will be missed.

I think one of the funny highlights was watching frollard picking that "special" filing cabinet lock.

That effing thing is not a lock. it is, simply something else. I must mention however *since you didnt*, that I did get it open :S

So...when's next visit? I see no other thread, so I figure I'll ask in here.
The meaning of life, the universe and everything is 42.

Inflation however, may have changed this.
...
edit: yup, its definately 43 now
