What is the best method that your chapter has had at recruiting?
I'm currently looking into getting the Halifax Chapter going again, Just looking for idea of reaching out with out reaching to far out.
Any ideas would be helpful.

I was sorta thinking about sending off an email and seeing about getting a Sacramento chapter going. If I did, my plan would be some fliers around the local college campus to seed some interest.

I would be hesitant to start putting up fliers. I would think you would attract the wrong crowd if you know what I mean. I have been interested in pulling people together for a Chicago group and have had mild success advertising on here (There is a section for it on the main page) as well as looking for your local TOOOL or 2600 chapter in your area (the 2600 groups are usually mainly computer hackers but usually always have picking nights as well).

"Wrong crowd" - You mean engineering students paying close to $30,000/yr for a college education?

Ha Ha, yeah, those engineers are "shaddy".

But being serious, I guess you're right, location is the key point, and around a college you'd probably be in a particularly good crowd.

Are you still thinking about getting this chapter off the ground? If so, I live 3 hours away in Winneumcca, NV. and would be interested. I'm still learning locksmithing, but anywhere I can pick up some new training is fine with me.

In Columbus, I started the chapter based on a local martial arts group. We all had an interest in stealth, and many of the members are LEOs , military or security. To grow, I went to the local 2600 group (just getting started with that) and from there to the mechanical engineering school at the local university.
