Texas Lock Sports Meeting (Summer 2005)

Postby tydirian » 22 May 2005 19:05

I have been talking with Hertel and we are planning a Texas Lock Sports meeting for this summer. Date and location are up in the air but we were thinking Austin, since it is centeraly located, in late July. From this I think the idea would be to meet people from your general area and try to have regional meetings on a monthly or quarterly basis with an all Texas meeting once or twice a year.

I would like to do a ~24hr meeting starting with a meet and greet at a pub Saturday evening and a morning of sessions on picking with a competition after lunch on Sunday. I am pretty flexible.

If you are intrested I will be putting more info on www.texaslocksports.org or you can email me at benthomas@texaslocksports.org.

Cheers,
Tydirian

I'm onboard with this aswell, having lived in austin for a few years I can think of some fun places to go do a meet and greet. I'm also up for a get together in the Dallas Fort Worth area as I'm about the same distance to DFW as Austin.

I'll be bring high security locks ranging for mul-t-lock to medeco to primus, plus safe locks for various grades.

So lets get some dialogue going and get this get together going.

I am good for Dallas as well. If more can attend if we have the meeting in a larger city like Dallas or Houston that is really the goal. Well that and beer.

Looks like a meeting is on permant hold until we can find enough people in Texas that are intrested. I am surprised that there are not more pickers in Texas.

Cheers,

I got 2 replies but none from the DFW area. I guess everyone wants to pick locks at home. :)

BTW if fear about possible legal issues were concerning anyone I already have consulted my lawyer and he says we are fine. If we have a club meeting around a sport there should be no criminal intent issues.
