Searching new posts

Postby helix » 18 Jun 2005 1:07

I have been using the Search function quite a bit
and it has been really helpful in looking for a specific
post/author/etc, but what I haven't been able to find is:

How do I find just the newest posts from the whole forum?

What I have been doing is searching for the word, ' *the'
under all posts within 7 days or one day.

This DOES give me the result that i want, but is there a better/easier
way to do it?

There's always the "View posts since last visit" link in the upper right corner of the index page.

Yeah, that button makes life a lot easier. Rather than searching through each forum looking for posts that have dates since you were last there. Sometimes, you'll (well, I'll) log in and then my comp will freeze and I'll have to restart, losing all the threads, cause the site thinks that I've logged in, read the posts and logged out again, so they don't show up. It's annoying anyway..... :?

Aaahh!!

Just spent ages looking for the index and could not find the button.

BUT

I realised that by the time I had bookmarked this site, I must have
been at http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewforum.php?f=2

and since, have been calling that the beginning, hehe.

so I looked up LP101 google, and what do you know?

THE BUTTON!!

haha, thanks guys and Chrispy, I'm sure that my computer will do
some freezing up of it's own.
It thinks, hey! ..If you're good at doing something, why change? haha.

Not really, no. What I do if that's the case, is go into each section and read the posts with the current date as the last post. :?
