Hello, and welcome to the forum! It would help if your pics were publicly viewable. Not to sound snobbish, but it's spelled picks, not pics. The mods will have to edit the thread title.

I followed the directions on the "how to upload photos" thread and it told me to do this, how do I make it publicly viewable?

not quite. I can see a small thumbnail but when you click it is says This account has no public images. here, I extracted the direct link to your photo. http://i.imgur.com/JNyoNWj.jpgso you got yourself some GOSO automotive rakes.. those wont work on most house or padlocks. especially if you are a beginner. that's not a great set to start learning with honestly.. where are you located so we can tell what kinds of locks you'll most likely encounter and what kind of pick set you will need. Please fill out your profile. Thanks Squelchtone

Like me, you probably won't need picks for European locks, at least, not enough to buy them. You can however, craft them. Here's my .010 hook http://i.imgur.com/7a92dxU.jpg

Reason: your pic is 2,448px × 3,264px unless you're printing a 24x36 inch poster, please resize photos to 800x600 so they fit in most people's browsers/screens, or use the [URL] function to link to huge photos instead of using [img]. Thanks!

Indeed it is. It's for comparisons. The one on the right is the home made one

I thought about making my own when I started but you can get a decent set for like 40 bucks if you are going to spend the time to get decent, which may be longer than expected, mine as well spend a couple bucks
