I haven't seen any of the books on lping that sell in the $10-$60 range, but I have to ask... is there anything in these books that is not covered in material currently distributed freely online? Is it really worth the beginner shelling out money for a widely published book if all the same information is available in works like the MIT Guide or those by Matt Blaze, etc? I know LSS is a different story as far as content, but it is also out of the price range of a lot of the beginners in this umm... sport?... hobby?... (what the heck are we doing here, anyway?
My point is, wouldn't those hard earned clams be better directed to, perhaps, tools, a nice bench grinder, some practice locks?
You get the idea.
