Hi all,
Lock pick noob in training here. Lots of good information here, looks like i'll stick around.
Just went and bought a set of 6 stainless steak knives at wal-mart for 50 CENTS!!!! that's right. So i bought 4 packs. I made my first couple of picks and will post them in the "make your own pick" section.
Im a fire fighter and we are always getting calls for opening doors. But our way is ............well destructive. So i figured i might be able to use this skill at work sometime.

Hello,
I'm a Marine stationed out of Okinawa, Japan. Been interested in lockpicking for a while but never really had the time to get into it. I just got thrown into a new job (barracks manager) and have had a lot of time on my hands latley. Resparked my interest since I'm pretty much the super of the building and theres some rooms that the master key won't even open.

And you, Mr 101, had best do away with your underpants, you will no longer be needing them where you're going.

Hello everyone. I am new here and am developing an interest in this hobby quite fast. I am an amateur by all means of the word, but am a quick learner. My first 14-piece set is on the way and should be here this week or next. So far I have been practicing tumbler locks with two paper clips with moderate success. Well I look forward to learning a lot here!

A well bent safety pin makes an excellent tension wrench, and will continue to after your set has arrived. Welcome to the forums.
