Welcome Lucas. Which guide did you buy? db
i bought this guide from Ebay LOCK PICKING Secrets CD Locksmith PICK EASY LOCKPICKING only cost me a total of 13 dollars canadian throught paypal
This wouldn't happen to be a "Compilation CD" that includes such titles as "The MIT Guide to Lockpicking" and "High Security Locks" by Steve Hampton, would it?

Hi, I found this site through ordering an electric pick from Devon locks, they sent me this site address with an email, so I thought I would join in. I have worked as a locksmith for a few years, but looking round have found lots of topics of conversation interesting to read.

I just signed up after a period of lurking, read the FAQ and figured I'd drop a quick post here to say hello. I've been bitten hard by the lockpicking bug -- about a month and a half ago I read the MIT guide, filed out my first pick from a streetcleaner bristle, made a torque wrench from same and started poking around inside a couple of Master No. 3s I had. The first time one clicked open I knew I was hooked hard.
Since then I've made some more hooks, a couple more torque wrenches and even a pair of Bogotas that came out very nicely. I'm currently working on a few locks I just picked up: a Garrison 50mm padlock (apparently has some spools, opened it once but not since) and a Master 576 (no joy yet...) and a cheap Garrison deadbolt cylinder (can pick with three or four pins in, but five is just not happening).
I'm looking forward to learning and contributing here.

Hey, nice site. I can't wait to start on it. The only lock I can get through at the moment is my lock at my house. [/code]
Late one night at the insane asylum one inmate shouted: I am Napoleon! Another one said: How do you know? The first inmate said: God told me! A voice from another room shouted: I did NOT!

Awesome Board!! Lots of usefull info.. I got Hooked about a month ago since then I have almost a complete collection of starter picks and wrenches made out of Wiper Blades, so far only a few padlocks opened and cheap deadbolts nothing advanced yet.. Also im running out of locks in my house, I have to go buy more to practice on :)
Soon when i get a little more advanced I want to start to make myself a nicer set but for now the wiper blade picks are doing pretty good. I might even carry over a few into my new collecton.
But for now I think this board will become my new home for a bit....
Cheers,
Jim
