whats going on everyone?

Postby Knows-Picker » 25 Dec 2005 15:25

hey whats up? This is Know-picker, I have been on the site for a while, some of you know me by the pm's that you have sent, thought that I would take a few minutes to say hi to everyone else. I am a 28 year old white male in the united states(fl,ga,tn,al,nc,sc) I work all over the southeast for a telecommunications company. I have been picking locks for about 8 years now, and I have always been facinated by it. I have the majority of products offered online and at stores, if you have any ?'s on buying some of them, feel free to ask me how good the product is(electric picks, pick sets, or specialty tools) since I probably have it and have been using it for a while. I look forward to getting to know you all in the future, and hope that I can help you out with any ?'s that you might have. Remember my philosophy though.....a lock is like your nose....Its cool to pick yours.....but if it doesn't belong to you..........leave it alone...You wouldn't pick your friends nose would you? and if so, how about a stranger.....not so cool....anyways, everyone enjoy, and hope to hear from you soon.

New to the forum and to picking as well. I have a basic Southord kit and a see-through practice lock set as well. I have managed to pick the see-through 5pin as well as another closed 5pin beginner practice lock. Just saying I'm new here and quite respectful of the laws and rights of the land- of good people anyway. I will get good with the tools before trying any electric ones. Thanks.
New for now

Great site! I have been picking locks off and on since I was young. One day at a friends house I picked up a padlock and joking said I bet I can open this without a key and to my amazement I did it and ever since have been picking locks with good success and have recently been trying to teach my son. We treat the locks as puzzles and have great fun doing so. I found your site and it has inspired us.

Thanks

Postby anbujustin » 30 Dec 2005 1:33

Hey guys,

I just registered for this site recently. Actually i've been into lockpicking since 6 or 7th grade. I thought it was fake until i ran into it on the internet and i got into it from there. I stopped after i couldn't find the right tools to make it and got into magic. From there i ran into escapology and then led me back to lockpicking. I remember my first lock and it was just an american combo lock. I just used a hairclip and broke it and used it to shimmy the lock open. From there on i was hooked. This site RULES.

Anyways, i see that some of the other areas of the forum is closed? like the advanced stuff, how do i get in there or how do i get the clearance to get in there?

Hello everyone.
Let me first say that I'm impressed that nobody here seems to TyPe LyKe DiiS lolololz. That's a first. I'm 16 and it seems all my peers are just idiots and type as such.

I'm Andy and I'm a noobie here. I've been doing magic since I was 7 but recently purchased my first set of picks and an instructional booklet from my local magic shop. I've developed the skills taught by the booklet and can now rake a standard 5-6 pin lock and pick them pin by pin as well.

I currently own only three tools (cuz I'm broke): a tension wrench, a rake, and a pick.

I came here hoping to learn how to open more advanced locks, especially Master Combination Padlocks, for one very specific reason. At my school the lockers are designed poorly, with the hole wide open so that if you wanted to, you could insert another lock above the person's original lock and lock it in place, therefore making it impossible to get your lock off and opening your locker.

The general solution to all this is to get a janitor to cut the lock off but he's almost always incapacitated and makes me late every single time.

So I hope I can gain the knowledge I seek.
Again, love the place, and I look forward to getting to know you guys.
