Hi folks, I'm Mark and the main reason I'm snooping around here, is that on Boxing Day (feeling quite rough as well) I had a fight with one hell of a pad lock at work with a hammer the size of a bluebird toffee hammer.
Well after 30min of the lock (and nearly my arm) falling off I decided I needed to do some research on locks etc...
PS Please don't mention shims for a couple of weeks, I'm still in pain

Hi people i found this site yesterday, been practising lock picking for nearly a year. I took a course in July 2005 to further knowledge. My tools have grown rapidly over last few months and i received a nice chest of tools at christmas. Just love the feeling of the locks popping open. Hopefully will start own business or work for a company willing to take me on and help further my knowledge rather then go alone.
I curruntly work in retail and have pretty much been able to open all the locks around the building and they don't have a master key system.

Hello im new to the site, First off i just want to say that this site is great. About a month ago i got a job with a sub contractor working in banks cleaning the safe's and installing safes/drop box's etc etc.. I then decided that i wanted to make a living as a locksmithin and have been looking around to see what i need to do. Currently the work i was doing for the past month is on hold but i want to continue with this.
Hope i can find a school or a place i can work under someone as i learn but until then i think theres TONS of stuff ill be able to learn here, Thanks for the site

Hi there, i'm new to this site and thought i would say hello. I am currently in the Army and hoping to become a qualified locksmith on completion of my 22yrs service. I would be grateful of any advice members could give me on training courses etc in the UK. Thanks

Wow, 22 years to become a locksmith, that's quite an apprenticeship.

Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....
