alcohol and pretty much everything don't go together, except a cheap shot to get lucky... that's pretty much it.

Traveller, your so right unfortunatley, it also doesnt go well with the driving to a lockout job, breathing on the customer, stabbing your picks in your arm by mistake then getting slammed up for DUI on the way home

Welcome to the site mate, youll fit in just fine

Welcome to the site. If you have not had the chance to look around superhawk, I know you will find tips and tricks galore.... I joined not too long ago myself and everytime I log back on I learn something new. I feel like a little boy at the toy store at times, hahaha. Anyways, a good place to start would be with Illusion (3rd post above this one). Click on his Signature Picture. Read all the beginners pages, familiarize yourself with the site (especially the search functions). So far everyone here has been nothing but helpfull IMHO.

Good luck!

hi everyone i'm a new member to the site but I did read long time before here.
Great site body’s, is very interesting.
My interest in locks started at a fairly young age of around 12. The first paper was I red about lockpicking was the MIT Giud to Lockpicking after that I bought my first pickset. These is a few years ago. My passion is the vault techniques but I have more theoretical experiences as practical.
I’m from Germany. Please excuse my terrible English, I working to improve my English knowledge. Until now I was just active to german forum about lockpicking.
Here I hope to get helpful suggestion and to improve my skill of picking.

Another newbie

My lockpicking experience?
Once I managed to pick an indoor office door using only a regular size papere clip. It took me an hour, but I somehow managed to do it.
Since then, I have never managed to repeat the job.

I once purchased an electric lockpicking gun, which I never did need because I just ended up breaking the lock through shear brute force.

But now, I need some advice on lockpicking combination locks.

Good evening (or morning for some),

I have been passively watching for boards for some time now and decided to join. I have been interested in this hobby for some time and purchased my first real pick set from Southord a few months ago after getting frustrated with the home made picks I have been using.

The first lock I ever picked I think was the cheap latches on my sisters diary when i was a wee lad. :)

I do not have much experience with high security locks yet, mainly your hardware store bought deadbolts and padlocks. (basically anything laying around the house)

I am really intrested in getting some experience with safes and I may be picking up an old one from a friend soon to tinker with. (non destructive methods of course)

Glad to be a member and hope to gain any knowledge I can.
