Just a quick howdy from a noob. Been lurking here for a while now, reading up and trying to learn. I've hit a wall so I decided it's time to register and see if someone will give me the slap to the back of the head that I need.

Cheers!

(Off to see if I can get that slap...)

Can klutzy people become reasonably proficient/intermediate?

Postby sturmgrenadier » 6 Jun 2006 16:42

Hi folks. Lockpicking seems like a fun hobby to try out. My main reservation is that I am almost as klutzy and shaky handed as one of my distant family member who has early stages Parkinson. Probably a forlorn endeavor, but I'll give it my best shot. Thanks for the free resources here!

Just wanted to say hi. I've been reading these forums for a while, and finally decided to create an account. I'm a bit of a novice at lock manipulation -- I've got a fair bit of experience on common 5-pin cylinder locks; no tricky serrated pins or anything. Impressive to my friends maybe, but I'd like to keep learning and try out some more challenging locks. I LURVE exploded schematics of lock internals, or even just pics of a good disassembly. I hope I can make some useful contributions to the board along the way.
