I seriously doubt that.
Some people post mostly crap, ahem, and their post count is not an actual indication of knowledge.

Hello world! I have yet to pick a lock, but once I get my kit ill get started! Since I was realy young I have always loved locks and probly keys more. I had LOADS of keys more then all the other kids . untill recently I knew nothing about lock picking and was kind of skeptic of the movies. I guess thats it.

hey bumr
I would recommend buying a $10 Kwikset deadbolt from WalMart and going through db's tutorial ( http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?t=10677). It really is a great way to start.
Read the forums and use the search whenever you have a question. If you don't find a suitable answer, post your question. Take special note of all the "Stickies".
Pick in your spare time (watching TV, etc), and you will improve quickly.

hello,
I've never picked a lock, but I would like to teach myself the art, which is why I'm here. I've already read a few articles, and have found the content to be quite interesting, and I hope that with the assistance of all these great lockpickers, I may be able to pick a few of my own.

aye, id say more than half of my posts are complete and utter crap. no joke, i wasnt granted advanced access recently, but its no skin off my back, whats funny is that in the return PM, it said my application may have been denied for one of the following reasons:
1) Your post history shows evidence of disrespectful or questionable behavior.
2) Your post history does not give indication that you would benefit from inclusion in the Advanced forums.
3) You have not demonstrated an active participation in conversations about lockpicking (ie: most/all of your posts are in General Chatter or off topic).
and i laugh, because that pretty much sums up like 75% of my posts!
and im sure i just broke a rule or two by putting that there, but hey, whatever, its just my own denial, so chill.

Hey everybody,
Not sure what to say here, but had to say Hi anyway. I got my first lockpick set about a week ago, and haven't quit reading about it since. I've got a few picked by now, although there's alot that still that elude me. Well, this forum looks like it's full of info so hopefully I'll get better in a few years. I'll update you on how many I couldn't get soon.
