Just some random thoughts about YT vids in general and then some about YT lock picking vids.

While some folks are making big bucks with their vids on youtube I get really depressed every time I check on the top ten money makers.

https://www.top10twist.com/world-news/social/top-10-most-subscribed-and-popular-youtubers-2018/

Just as picking takes skill so does making vids for youtube. I have done some I consider fairly OK including stuff like the release of a sea turtle the Turtle Hospital nursed back to health

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Evr3GIjPSIo&t=2s

(if you look closely at the end of the vid you will notice the turtle does not swim away but rather runs along the bottom kicking up clouds of sand that leave an obvious trail as well as a cameo by me at the very end)

or a knife throwing vid

to see how my happy fingers caused unwanted rotation. There is a lot of stuff that goes into it and the rule of thumb is it takes one hour of raw footage to make one minute of good video.

As for guys like BonsiBill and the Lockpicking Lawyer it should be obvious to anyone they are not really making any money on youtube. What some of the more experienced pickers here seem to be missing about them is they have to walk a line between making the really great pickers mad by overstating their skills and getting the less experienced folks to watch their vids because they think Bill and the Lawyer can teach them something. Not to mention they also have to have, or know someone who has, post production skills. For good or ill guys like them are helping increase interest in picking.
