Quick question for a Mod
-- I made the $20 contribution to this site (and am looking forward to the cool shirt). Will a Mod add the "Supporter" banner to my screenname automatically, or do i need to send my transaction details to somebody?
-- Thanks

Welcome everybody,
For all thoes new to the site and lockpicking, LP101 is a great place to start.
Take a look at the new users section, first and don't be afraid to ask any questions just remember to try a search before posting.
If you're looking for locks to pick, buy some but, DO NOT PICK LOCKS YOU RELY ON
I repeat DO NOT PICK LOCKS YOU RELY ON, they can and will break, then your house/car/safe/chasity belt is vulnerable or unable to be opened (think: emergency situation).
Cheers,
UWSDWF

Yup, right there under the off-topic General Chatter section….exactly where a newbie would look first.
-- Thanks again -- guess I was a little ruffled by your “lost†reference. No worries.

I'm Joe from Lansing Michigan. I work at a big bank doing security stuff. Mostly computers, firewalls, anti-virus, cisco, etc.. I needed a new hobby, and this one is interesting. I bought a So Ord PXS-14 set of pics about 3 weeks ago and I'm already picking any Master paddlock clone and Kwikset fast, other easy things in a few mins. My neighbor brought me a "Brinks" big heavy steele lockbox last night that she had lost the keys to. I opened it's stupid disk-tumbler? lock in about 20 seconds! Thanks for the great site!

Already been trying to make some posts!
Great site you guys!
I've been into computer security and lockpicking for most of my life...but I let go of lockpicking for awhile because I wasn't sure If I wanted to spend the money on tools. Now that I am I have started to become pretty good at it. See you guys around!
Hope to learn a lot.
Assumption is 9/10ths of discussion...
