The name's Gooley. I'm looking for a new hobby and lockpicking seems pretty interesting. I'd like to make my own picks, but I don't know where to get access to a grinding wheel. I'll probobly order a set off of southord.

Welcome everybody,
For all thoes new to the site and lockpicking, LP101 is a great place to start.
Take a look at the new users section, first and don't be afraid to ask any questions just remember to try a search before posting. Cause everyone should HYSF as well as there Pick-fu.

If you're looking for locks to pick, buy some but, DO NOT PICK LOCKS YOU OR ANYONE ELSE RELY ON
I repeat DO NOT PICK LOCKS YOU OR ANYONE ELSE RELY ON, they can and will break, then your house/car/safe/chasity belt is vulnerable or unable to be opened (think: emergency situation).
Keep it legal.
Cheers,
UWSDWF

Hi, I've been lurking a while, thought I should post 8)

I pick for fun, nothing else, just got myself a Master Lock 40, but that was way to easy

Although you can see I tried to make it harder by using the pick up the wrong way  I have a selection of locks, most of the easy ones I can get in quick, I've yet to get in my ABUS and Yale padlocks :( I got into my squire a few times though with my jack knife set :D

Thanks for the wealth of info, there is SO much!

Hi

Postby Poacher » 26 Feb 2007 11:17

I've been lurking here for a while so I thought I'd post and introduce myself. I "discovered" lockpicking for fun about 15 years while on holiday over a long boring summer. Had a lot of fun making my own picks and opening pin tumblers. Never touched it again for about 10 years when by chance I found a shop near me selling some Southord picks. About 4 months ago I started putting in practice, then I discovered this site and a whole world of other types of locks out there and got really enthusiastic.

Hello, I came across your site and I'm really impressed. I've been wanting to get into lock picking as a hobby for a long time now and I think this forum might just give me the motivation to do so. It seems like it would be a fun hobby and possibly even a way for earn a bit of money on the side (legally of course).

By the way, I'm from Eastern Ontario, Canada.

Howdy from Fort Collins, CO

After cracking a master combo bike lock with brute force, I figured that there must have been an easier way.

I'm an engineer and I'm interested in antique locks and history.

Hi everyboody!
I've been reading this forum for a while (probably read every post since 2004), and this seems to be the best place out there to learn from as well as contribute any thing that I can. I've always been curious about picking but never really knew how to do it then I seen PYRO1234321's video on "how to make lockpicks" and everything changed!!
I"ll be sure to "pick" your brains in the future!

Just joined, cool site. I looked you up for a reason tho...bumping has caused us ,(PD/S.O./DPS/Sec) , some pause for thought...I know locks are only there to keep honest people honest...we are checking our ingress points more often. Then a thought occurred ... can auto locks be bumped ? Not so much for theft of vehickle, as theft from... some of our suits leave all kinds of high dollar items in their autos. I know you can't let me in to you'r restricted site (tho I would like to know what creds I need to gain access) but can you give me a Y/N, e-mail if you don't want to post.I'm shure there are other nightstalkers that would like to know , and you'r not giveing the badguys anything they don't already know, their information dessimination system is faster than ours . :D
