Well...nothing subtle seems to be working for me on that lock...I'll get it eventually.....it's made it personal now!..lol.
On a side note, any one with escape interests, I might be able to help.
I still have quite the collection of restraints, with matching key sets.
And everything from straight jackets, to copies of 17th century Austrailian restraint vests...I just need to dust them off.
It's all about puzzles I guess when we boil it all down.
...side note...anyone familiar with BumpKeyUS here?...I made an order a few weeks ago...was sent a tracking #...but still no recieved order.
The owner seems on the up and up in email, just thinking out loud.
I'm guessing they're just back logged.

long time member of TRShady.com (semiShady)
it has nothing to do with being 'shady'

Welcome. I just re-realized the potential of this site. It will defenatly help you develop your skills. If you think opening a simple lock is fun, wait till u open the ones that are 'pick-proof' or labled as 'safe'
Enjoy your stay and you'll learn alot..... as long as your intentions are pure.

xx,
It takes some time...get some books, and most of all, be patient.
If you start to get frustrated...stop.
When you finally pop the first one...theres something very unique about it...you'll see.
Start off playing with correct torque, and a snake pick..just my 2 cents.
(Start off with the cheap, easier locks to build your confidence, otherwise it starts to feel like some impossible thing "other" people do, and it's not.)
It just takes some practice and research.
Don't get frustrated.

Hey, as you may have guessed, I'm new here. I do quite a bit of ameteur pyrotechnics
and I'm also well into air cannons (spudguns). I've not picked many locks at all, but I have a lot of spare time this summer and I'm looking to learn a new skill. Can anyone reccomend any particularly good books or other resources, and a decent set of begginers picks? I'm also having trouble finding some actual locks to pick.
Many thanks,
Guy

Thanks for the suggestions Right-Lobe with the set i ordered its a beginner set and comes with a lock picking book so hopefully that books will help and ive been doing research to find out how locks work and i think i might try to make some of my own locks because i think it might feel better to know that you made that pick that just opened a lock! lol anyways hopefully the order went thorugh and will arrive sometime this week. While im waiting for it to arrive i think i wanna try to make a cloth hanger snap pick.
