Hi all, great forum here.Im not really new but this is my first post and i wanted to say hi.I have mainly lurking on this forums and reading and reading and i have learned things that i never would have if i did not come here.
I'm quiet excited cause i actually made my first two picks from hacksaw blades and i thing they turned out ok.I tried them out and they did what they where made to do so thats a plus.
I'm from New York originally but moved here to Canada like 5 years ago and got married here.So i needed a hobby cause i really don't have many friends here so this lock picking thing keeps me occupied on my spare time and i love it so far.
Well anyway its great to finally make my first post and say hi to all you nice people here.
Cheers!

hi everyone, im matt, i just got interested in lock picking this last week, i lost my car keys and have no way to get into my trunk so i tried picking it, no luck there. so i found this site and i think i found a new hobby, im going to save up some money and buy me a good pick set. until then i cant get into my trunk.
p.s. if anyone can tell me anything about a trunk lock for an 84 chevy monte carlo ss, such as how many pins it has, i would appreciate it.

hey welcome read a bunch and call a locksmith about your trunk, if you really need to get in there.

Automotive is in the advanced forums only so sorry.

Also odds are it's a wafer lock not a pin tumbler I could be wrong about that though.

Foley Belsaw course started in 1988
again in 2002 - divorce foiled that... :D both times
Currently PCDI as I like the key machine better, its not a blue shark for sure
I have been doing "casual" lock jobs and emergency entrys.
Still much to learn, and more equipment to acquire.
been lurking here for years

New to this group

Hi all, I am new to this group. I found this site while looking for something else, but I can't remember what I was looking for.
Anyways, I like to learn new things, I was locked out of my RV and could really learn something here. I am totally against using info for bad reasons. I am a law abiding person. :D M

Greetings all. I just converted a multiday lurk into official membership -- this is a terrific site that deserves support.

I've been into Locksport since early 90's off and on. Just recently got back into it and ordered my first set of Petersons (GE III) to replace my aging Majestics.

Long time lurker, short time poster.

Sydney Australia.

Work for one of the larger companies over here in Risk Management.

It is surprising to say the least that some people are that obvlious to taking security related risk aversion is MUCH cheaper than getting hit with major losses after a break-in.

Getting rid of useless locks has caused way too much stress over time. An $80 price difference saves many thousands in later costs if the s*it hits the fan.

This forum has provided a wealth of knowledge in physical lock security, will keep reading here for many years.

Hi, I'm Lee. Found this site from HowStuffWorks.com.
I'm thinking about taking up lock-picking as a hobby.
I can't wait for the day when my date realizes she locked her keys inside her house and I save the day by opening her lock :D

I've joined up because I'm interested in learning more about lock picking. I made some picks when I was younger and did a little reading but never really got into it. It'd be nice to be able to get the keys out of my locked car without using a coat hanger!

Well first of i'm 15 years old and in no way i am going to pick lock anything outside of my own home. i have a tri circle 263 padlock and i have been trying to pick ti for a few days now with... paper clips i have no sense over anything to do with picks and anything else to do with lock picking and there is no way in hell my parents would let me make lock picks or even buy them. so if someone that is skilled in lock picking with homemade picks can they contact me please.
