Hi, have just joined your forum & look forward to furthering my knowledge in the art of lock picking.
Being a Carpenter by trade i get to fit all sorts of different types of lock & through that became interested in how one could be picked & also can see an oppertunity to earn more money doing something interesting.
I went on a Lock Training course in Jan this year & have slowly been finding the time to gather more info.
I look forward to a bit of banter on the forum in the future.

Hello everybody, I'm the_transporterkk3 and have recently become interested in lockpicking. I became interested in lockpicking when my friend, who was a locksmith, invited me to his workplace. I saw his lockpicks on his desk and asked how they work. He told me that I would have to learn more about the lock itself. He also recommmended this forum for further learning.
stupid questions result in stupid answers

Isn't it funny that "Exodus" means "to leave"? Yet, they keep showing up?
Welcome to everyone, and good luck.

Hello All, A new member to this site but not to locksmithing. 90% of what I do as a locksmith is to provide emergency openings for a utility company in my city. In a nutshell that means if your not home or the business is closed, and they must make entry, they call me to open the property. This looks like a great site and looking forward to learning and sharing info...

welcome all, relating to what skold said, how many members with "exodus" in their name do we have now, "exodus5000" "exodus50" atleast 2, if not more, seems its a popular name.

Hullo, I'm new here and I made my first pick today--a half diamond made from a stainless steel turkey carving knife. I hope to begin opening my door soon.

welcome to the forum. I couldn't help but notice you said you made a diamond pick. This is just my personal preference, but I like to use hooks mostly. That one will teach you how to feel the lock without the dossier to rake the lock. Which a diamond serves both purposes. I reccommend that you make a hook next.
one mans trash is another mans lockpick

Hi All
I normally work in the Intruder alarm industry but increasingly keep getting asked about locks hoping to use the forum to increase my knowledge, shouldn't be difficult starting from rock bottom. Hoping to get some more formal training, so that I can branch out into this part of the service. I won’t ask any stupid questions until I have browsed the FAQ's I may ask some stupid questions then.

don't, i'll flame you then i will never stop, you will be part of my semi-perminent newbie hitlist
This to ALL of you newbies
don't ask stupid questions, use your common sence or search, ask normal and slightly interesting questions...
if i hear another "How do i pick abloy" i will flame you until you are ashes
dont ask questions that are easily answered - "why can't i pick schlage" or any thing easy like that, other newbies can even answer that.
actually i think it should be compulsory that newbies have to read all faq's before posting or even joining.
