Hello,
I'm a 23 year old Facillity Management Student living in The Netherlands (Maastricht). I like making music and growing carnivorous plants. I got interested in lockpicking a month or 6 ago when some freinds got a really simple SouthOrd pick set. We played with it for a while and since then I am the only one to have taken a serious interest in it.
I have a little bit of experience with lockpicking. I've managed to get open simple padlocks and my own 6 pin frontdoor (the frontdoor dit take about 15 minutes).
I do understand the theory behind it after watching serveral documentary's on google video and the awsome "Lockpicking for the new milenium DVD". I'm currently considering to sing up with TOOOL, a dutch lockpicking group who put themselfs on the map with bringing bumpkeying to the public and media's attention.
I currently own and advanced 9 hook set kit and the KLOM navigator set. (I don't know if these are the kind of tools I should start out with as a novice btw).

Hello Everybody,
I am mart75 and new to this forum. I live in the south of the Netherlands, 33 years of age, married with children.
I work at a hardware store, making keys, fixing/changing cilinders and locks, sometimes i do (simple) locksmithingwork on location , merely simple lockouts, changing rimlocks and so on.
There is no experienced locksmith who will teach me the ins and outs of the trade. So i stick around this forum and hopefully learn more.

Hey guys, been a lurker on here for awhile, just now got around to posting. Currently active duty military, been tinkering around with locks for a few years now. Been stumped by the 5200 series Americans for awhile, but finally got it. Spool pins, serrated pins, nasty little lock. Anyway, great site you have here. Thanks

Hello! Completely new to lockpicking; in fact I haven't even received my picks yet! Stumbled across the hobby when I was looking for broken key extractors to remove a key from my girlfriend's trunk lock. I've always had an interest, but didn't know picks were so readily available. Thanks for all of the useful posts on pick selection on this site. I've hopefully got a pretty decent set of Southern Ordinance picks on the way.
