Postby Huckuba » 29 Dec 2004 9:46

I just found this site a couple of days ago.
I have always been intrigued with locks, and that which prevents me from getting to that two cent sweet tooth I have.
You know what I mean?

Yet another New Guy!

Postby longcanuck » 29 Dec 2004 18:43

Greetings All!!

My name's Andy. My user name is Longcanuck because I'm 6'10" tall
and I live in Ontario, Canada.

I am a firefighter in Toronto and my interest in lock picking stems from some of the things I have to do on my job that could be made easier by having such a skill as picking a lock ie: alarm malfunction in an apartment, tenant is not home and the superintendant is nowhere to be found, a typical scenario. Developing this skill would save me from putting up ladders or hopping balconies in the middle of the night (usually when these things happen).

So my interest is professional, but it could also be recreational for me too.
I have a small pick set from HPC inc. , but I think I will order the MPXS-14 set from lockpickshop.com and I might also try the Locksmith CD.

I have had some success with picking padlocks, mostly Master locks.

This forum is wonderfully informative. So glad I found it.
