Ok, i didn't know it's not allowed to discuss auto locks here. But i can't post in the specialized forum either, because i don't have 40 posts or 3 months since registration. Anyway, the key is this: http://www.bookofjoe.com/images/2223344_1.jpgMaybe someone can hel me through a private message then. The linkage and the latch mechanisms are ok i guess, everything works, the car can be unlocked by remote or from the interior, and the same for locking. It's just that it doesn't rotate counterclockwise. I'll probably have to get the lock out. Anyway thanks for the help, if there is something that you think that can help me, please PM. Thanks again.

Hi all,
I joined this site a while ago on a whim that I might enjoy lockpicking but I only ended up visiting occasionally. Now I suddenly have an urge to start picking locks :) Over the last two days, I've been reading heaps of threads from this site and watching youtube videos to satisfy the urge. I figured actually practicing is better than absorbing reading material so I am going to order a Beginner's Blend Toolkit from toool.us. Hopefully this will last me into my long jouney into lockpicking!

Heyyas I've been reading the forums for some time now, just wanted to introduce myself and say thank you to the many contributors to this site. Im joining lockpick 101 from San Diego. lockpicking has practically consumed any free time (and money) i've had in the last 6 months and to be honest its the most fun ive had indoors besides rock climbing(indoor).
take care and happy holidays!

Hi all! I am, as you can see, Belisarius. Internet cookies to the first person who identifies the source of that name.
I have an interest in learning to pick locks, as well as in the idea that lockpicking is usually the worst way to get through a door. To be more clear, I'm a student of social engineering, and am interested in lockpicking for the same reason that I'm interested in cryptography and social engineering: asset protection is fascinating. Despite what this may lead you to believe, I have no interest whatsoever in using lockpicking, encryption breaking, or social engineering for illegal activities. I simply think they're fun, much in the same way that one might use Tor and browse the Silk Road without actually being interested in black market transactions. I've also, I must confess, watched far too many episodes of Burn Notice and similar shows to avoid feeling the romance of this skill set.

Are you referring to the Byzantine General, Flavius Belisarius? Or to the movie production company Belisarius Productions that adopted his name?

I suppose that given that they lived vastly different lives, the fact that I was actually referring to Flavius Belisarius as depicted by David Drake in the Belisarius series, in which he fought Satan-worshiping Indians with tanks, could exempt me from giving you cookies, but... fine.
