Yes, we gathered that, you told us already.
Here's my suggestion: read. Spend lots of time reading through the forums, especially all the FAQ and sticky posts. Spend days doing it. If after that you still have questions, ask them in the right place, for example the "Got Questions?" forum.
By the way, you don't need to post in bold italic. We can read you very well in normal text.

Starting to get into this all. I've always had the urge to learn, but never really bothered doing anything about it... Untill I got my left hand trapped in the grasps of handcuffs. I managed to get myself out somehow with a hairpin .. But I can't repeat the process now. So I'll be around here a bit probably trying to learn to pick better.

Hi, New here, and to lockpicking. Two years ago, I was learning the lock trade as part of my job. My mentor had just introduced me to master=keying when he died suddenly. I was put in charge of the lock shop.
The site contains about 1500 locks, mostly Schlage 6 pin. My job is to fix and maintain all these locks. It would not be too bad but, the world is full of idiots.
There are also about 30 Unican cypher locks.
As there are as many users as there are locks, someone is always getting locked out. Usually, this is no problem as there are file keys or master keys for most locks. Higher security locks are not master keyed. Some have been re-keyed without being entered into the key log. It is embarassing to have to drill locks. It would be much more convenient to be able to pick these locks.
My experience with picking includes Master padlocks and Schlage cylinders with all but 2 or sometimes 3 pins removed.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
This is a standard Intro post. My name is Ian Kendall, and I am a magician from Scotland. I've been interested in locks and picks since about 1987 when I was shown how to pick a tumbler lock by an escapologist called Larry Barnes.
I'm not as good as I should be after so long, but I've recently got my kit out again and I'm putting some work into it...
Take care, Ian

Hello everyone,
I’m a beginner lock picking hobbyist from the U.S. I stumbled onto this site searching for I don’t know what in Google last week. I decided I would go ahead & make my account but I’m still busy reading the old post. I used information that I’ve gathered from these forums to start into the hobby as cheap as possible making my own basic picks. I’m still learning & more than likely I won’t post much until I have a grasp on what I’m doing. I don’t want to make myself look foolish. Most of the information I’ve needed so far I’ve found searching the forums. I’d like to thank all of those that participate in conversations on here as it has given me a lot of knowledge.
Until next post
Wink
