Linking to the EXACT post within a thread...

Sometimes, we offer links to a post within a thread and direct the viewer to scroll down a few posts to "suchabody's" post. There's no need for that any more....

Find the post that you are looking for, then hit 'quote'. Note the last set of numbers in the address bar and write them down. Using the link format of an email notification, eg:
viewtopic.php?p=108447#108447
just substitute the last numbers. (don't forget the hash and the numbers repeated)

This post is by Nose-Picker, and is from halfway down page 118 of the "introduce yourself" thread:
viewtopic.php?p=102371#102371

If you're linking to a "click here", or something similar, use the URL tags:
[u r l=http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?p=102371#102371][c o l o r=blue]Click here[/c o l o r][/u r l] (No spaces within url, or color) eg:

HTH.

I was splitting out all the junk and missed this good post, so here it is.

Look at the name of the poster.

Follow a direct path to the right

You should see a little tiny pic of a piece of paper with "Posted:" next to it.

Guess what that little piece of paper is.

Mhm, you guessed it.

A direct link to the post!

You can right click the piece of paper and select "Copy link location" or, you can click it, then copy the address in the title bar.

I think Varjeal definitely has to listen to me now

Woot! First time using the sticky skillz.
