Hmm, in my mind, "securities" is a financial term. Like stocks and bonds. Is there a difference in Canadian English?

You're right, even in Canadian English the word "securities" has a much different meaning than the word "security". If someone came up to me and told me they worked in the "securities" division, I would assume they were a bean counter...![]()
If you guys actually worked for CSIS, the CSE or any part of the DND, or the RCMP Security Service, you wouldn't come online bragging about it. Simply saying what you've said in this thread would get you fired. At least I hope that my fellow countrymen who DO actually work at those places would have more sense than that!
First off, I am not a secret agent, nor is there any reason I cannot say what type of work I do. I just cannot say who I work for/ where I work, hence the broad Securities term.
I have in no way come online bragging about my job. All I posted was the type of work I do. Its like the difference between a mechanic who only works on classic cars saying hes just a mechanic. On here, people don't have/ need to know exactly what I do. Some Admins know who and what type of work I do, and for this reason I have not gotten into any trouble with this posting.
I am really curious what your actual job is. (I'm thinking student) You see, most Adults will post basic info on their profile. You have not. Sorry for coming across HARSH, but you really Irked me.

Anyways, Thanks for NOT reading the ADMINS comments above your posting. The LP101 gods will not be too happy. There was a mention to leave this alone. IT was NOT the question at hand.
