That's a hard question to answer and be specific.
My lockout guy does nothing but that, lockouts. He unlocks cars, doors and anything else that can be locked and nobody has a key handy.
My safe guy does bank service work and general safe work. He is usually busy servicing bank equipment....teller drawers, vaults, safes and safe deposit boxes. He also opens safes with lost combo's or malfunctioning locks or lockworks. He installs safes, removes safes and relocates safes.
The car guys make their rounds from dealership to dealership and auction to auction fitting keys to cars when they are lost, rekeying cars when keys are stolen or lost and repairing automotive lock cylinders when they are damaged.
The door guy does anything related to doors. He installs new doors, replaces damaged or worn out doors and frames, replaces or installs hardware such as locks, closers, panics, mags, electric strikes, ect. He also rekeys locks as needed and compiles masterkey systems.
I've got a general locksmith that can follow behind any of the other guys and catch them up when they are to busy to handle the days work. He usually spends most of his day rekeying locks and doing minor hardware installation such as levers, panics, deadbolts and closers.
I answer the phone, schedule and dispatch jobs, invoicing, payroll, keep up with inventory, parts ordering, making sure we have whatever we need to work. I also do walk through estimates with customers and help out everyone else when and where I can.
I can still write masterkey systems, install any hardware put in my hand, rekey whatever comes up and have never had a car that I could not fit a key to. The only thing I do not mess with is the bank business. I'm not a safe tech and have never claimed to be. I know my limitations
