Wow does this bring back memories. I figured I would try to get some work from a "certified locksmith" company out of New Jersey who was all over Craigslist. The guy promised the world from all the work I wanted to a complete transponder making system for only $500 (said they were knock offs from China) if I put a year in with him. I would get a simple auto unlock(yawn) I was instructed to collect the svc fee of $25 of which I made $11, This is where it got uncomfortable as I went from an honest Locksmith with integrity to a sleazy used car salesman (no offense used car guys :) The "company" would sugar coat by saying that the customer was aware that I would have additional fees. I went out and right off the bat would tell customer that my unlock would cost $55. The customer was surprised as they were told nothing of additional costs. I guess its just business with these guys butunfortunately for the average consumer that googles "locksmith" when in a jam will almost 100% of the time get these guys!!! How do they take over all the area codes and jam up the search engines???
