I see people with a stand at the entrance at our local Morrisons advertiseing, they were offering free judo (or somthing) lessons the other day, that maybe worth it if you are giving away keyrings and pens etc but otherwise i agree,

I have to add at this point i have been meaning to actually do this card thing for a while but never got around to it, ive now managed to talk myself out of it here lol

The voice of reason isnt always the loudest but when theres more than one voice it gets through eventually

Yeh cheers.
As I said, I've seen these half empty (or as you said half hidden) boards before and I always thought that they were over priced & not well maintained, making me vow never to use them.

The Tesco man caught me off me guard tho' and I've agreed to meet tommorrow & discuss (oops is that the time. I mean today) it with him.

I'll let you know how I get on but like you Shrub I've pretty much talked meself out of it.

What do you reckon the chances of a free breakfast are?
Mmm.. 2 chances... some chance & no chance. :?

Well that was an easy decision to make, the man from Tesco must be really to sell this advertising.
A big nothing, no show, no phone call, nothing.
Still, if he does bother to phone tomorow guess what answer he's gettin. Tosser...
Maybe he's a visitor to the site and read that I was gonna touch him for breakfast ay.
If this is the level of their proffesionalism I don't think I'll bother.

Thats just bad all round, you want to send an email to head office and see what they say, they may even offer you free advertiseing after that, afterall you did turn down a paying callout to wait for him didnt you?

The card display in our Tesco surrounds the saving stamps machine which is, I think, pretty good positioning. Question is - how many people know they've got a defective lock or have misplaced their keys whilst they're still at Tesco ?
Now, thats magic !

Problem with most of this advertising is its expensive and you can expect a maximum of a 3% return average is around 1.5% (1.5 customers for every 100 you`ve given a card to).
I`ve got a friend who owns a junk mail business. He`s the guy who sends the little pens out with just enough ink to fill a form in, and by the millions...
Point being its an expensive advert for the return. Sign written van and word of month is the biggest seller.
my 118247 is picking up. Averaging 1 - 2 calls a week. Not great but now paid for itself.
Life is to short to go wrong
