I agree with Lockey in this case.

If the police were NOT involved in this action, there are some serious problems.

As we have very little real information to go on, I can't make any further determination, but in this case I would have to say that the police should have been involved.

I think is the stardard sandy vagina stuff that comes from the whole UK lockie scene that I just don't understand.

did this happen? who knows who really cares, even if it did happen this just seems like another person who doesn't like the MLA or a specific member of the mla and then members defending their organization.... same crap found in the locked thread found below.

this stuff seems to get everyones knickers in a knot
moral of the story is this is just the internet, on a site about picking locks not a site about how Bob Bloggins from Derbywilteshirelancasterville bodged a flog in snib bucket or how so and so stole the magic elixer from the guild of the green dwarves.

Who cares... seriously who cares.... stop bad mouthing/baiting each other and talk about how business takes place, some horror stories and how to pick a lock but get off this stupid crap that anything to do with the UK trades seem to find themselves in.

This constant bickering is just sad, pathetic and a display of how peoples personal interest seem to be kiilling important issues, like having fun.

, that was one of the most coherant and concise posts I have seen you make in weeks.

You really are POed about this whole thing aren't you?

Can't say as I really blame you really, but still, you usually don't take an interest.

they gave him the chance to come clean.

they had it on camera.

think about it, he is a member so they gave him a chance to answer to them.

if you dont believe me ask the mla

Having something on camera does not give them the right to conduct searches, nor to levy charges.

In any case, the proper course of action here would have been to call in the police when the suspect refused to answer their accusations.

That way, it would have been completely legal, and exhonerated the MLA from any possible fallout.

Yes, the honor system is important, but if someone violates that system even when offered the opportunity to correct the infraction, outside authorities should always be called.

The fact that the MLA have no authority whatsoever to search someones hotel room, van or person etc tells me somthing fishy is a foot, they denied having the stuff and then are found with it after letting people search their stuff,

Someone here is being very stupid, is it the MLA for conducting searches even if it was of duty police men who did it, its still illegal to do,
Or is it the bloke accused of stealing, he stole the stuff then let people search his stuff for it even though he knew it was there :?
Things would not supprise me if the person was set up, some people can not be trusted as far as they could be thrown, they think nothing of making lies up and will even go to the extent of also making up false evidence to back themselves up,

That all said this leads me to the merit of this thread on this site, this site prides itself in being polite and family orintated, it is for hobby pickers of who tolerate lockies to butt in from time to time and we all help each other,

Is it the place for a whinge? a place for issues that have very little interest to the membership?

No,

This is a hobby site, im sure the lockie forums have this particular incident being discussed and if you want to know more then go to them with the suggestion to start with the MLA forum themselves,

Im locking this thread, it has little interest for the membership, has little to do with lockpicking, has no reasonable input for the site and contains nothing of help,

Before it turns into another uk lockie whingeing thread L O C K E D,
