I had a call yesterday from a sales rep from ufindus.com. He reckons he can give me 127 customer enquiries, direct from the customers, per month. Obviously there was a registration fee of £199 and it would then cost me £1 per day. Has anyone else been contacted by them? Or, has anyone signed up and finds it works?

They called me about two months ago. Said there are no other locksmiths registered on their site in my area, and if I paid £200 odd, I would be right at the top, in bold etc etc.
They also said they had 30 calls that weekend (!) looking for a locksmith.
1. If I'm the only locksmith in the area, why do I need to pay to be at the top, I must already be there.
2. I was on my laptop when they called, so had a look at their site at the time. So who are the other 4 pagesof locksmiths in the same area, including the TWO in bold, colour etc at the top of each page.
Tell them where to shove it.
G.
It's all about the tension . . .

I got the same story a few months ago about my website, when i said i wasnt interested they said they would halve the price, i still wasnt interested, that was all about putting my website first in any searches when someone typed in locksmith for my city, i said i dont live in a city i live in a village/town and that im the only one here so i would be first anyway,
Got a call from ufindus 2 days ago, i told them where to go before they even got past the first sentance,
Got another one a few days ago saying that i had previously agreed to help fund a drugs awareness scheme for my local schools, i told them that i hadnt even spoke to them before, that the local schools are already aware of drugs as they are all in the park smoking waccy baccy and the deal breaker for them was that they couldnt tell me what my local schools were lol, it old them whee to go as well,
Any private number is normally an advertiseing call so i answer it already in the mindset to telling them where to go, its probably only 1 customer in every 50 thats on a withheld number but not a private number,
When im borded i let them go on and on and once had a bloke goign on for an hour and 3/4 trying to sell me something, in the end he just said said to me "at least give it to me that ive tried" i said well done, youve tried very hard but still no sale an he seemd happy at that and said i was the hardest call hes ever made, i said ring me again in 6 months i like a laugh lol

That seems to be a common trick, the old "I spoke to you last year" one, and you know well that they didn't. I don't give any time to anyone who phones me to advertise with them, I know where I want to advertise and I phone them. Any one else gets told to bugger off.

Yeah. I've had one of those'I rang you 6 months ago and you agreed to.....' however at the time when they called I hadn't been trading 6 months so it would have been impossible for them to have spoken to me. They were adamant that they had though.
I think i'll take a leaf out of your book shrub and not answer the private number calls.

I normaly ask what you selling and if they um and r or start goign into a speil i say im not buying and put the phone down,

It's sad too. Because, say someone legitimately had 127 calls a month looking for a locksmith... so they find you and want only to collect a fair finder's fee. It seems a reasonable thing to ask, but these cumquats blow all reputability of phone sales pitches.
I guess my reply would be: “If you have 127 calls a month, feel free to give them my number and I’ll share 10% for any customer who mentions your name. That’s about $550 a month, almost 5x what you’re asking for. Sound like a good deal?†I always try bending or breaking the rules with these guys. It tells me whether they’re the owner/operator or an important rep, or if they’re simply a “laminated card readerâ€. LCRs can’t think for themselves or make decisions.

Do you find that they never leave you alone too? Must have been getting a call a day from them few weeks back. Told each of them to never call me again but it only stopped when I threatened legal action for harassment lol
UFindus and Vardis are the bain on my life... Oh and 118Trades is doing the hard sell again too. Only £700 for 18 months of no benefit to me whatsoever...

Hi everybody,
I have had U Findus on back for over three years and it is still ongoing with abusive threats of court action by their staff I will not pay a thing to them I was told the payment I made over three years ago was for one year’s ad and that is it I was miss sold product by this company they said they had taped the conversation but they have no give me a copy as yet the latest now is last week I received a letter from a collections agency which U Findus have employed to try and recover unauthorized debts I called them and explained what was going on had no intension of paying one penny to them I also point them in right direction to many website telling them they need to find out who they are really dealing with. The collection company are called Blacks Collections they told me that they do not take people to court or even issue court action they pass all details on after they spoke to whoever and pass it back ufindus.com I am now waiting for a court summons and I can assure you and unfindus.com they can go to hell I will fight this to the day I DIE I will not pay them they are thefts’ trapping the small business in their so called terms and conditions. I will spend every penny I have on court action with ufindus.com
