Am I Missing Something?

Postby Mike13 » 28 Oct 2007 14:29

Did I miss something or is there no thread yet on how obtain a license? I live in california, have completed an accredited course, learned a lot more by reading the threads on the site, trying to network with local locksmiths but to no avail. I have looked at the ALOA site and a few other organizations that would bring credibility to my services as well as customer confidence if I could join them but, they all ask for a license # or member ID or someother number that I ; at this point, am completely clueless/oblivious to.

Any suggestions? Anyone? A quip? Zing? Snarky reply?

Your local courthouse is a good place to start. Talk to someone at the county recorders office.

Many states don't require a license, so that might be why there isn't any info here. Also I'm sure each state that does require it has different requirements and such.

Good place to start might be here:

Is this what you saw on the ALOA site? If not, maybe you did miss something.
