I've done a search about this, and can't find much that's relevant to my situation. I've been working on my own as a locksmith here in michigan for some time, but times are looking down on me and i'm soon to be seeking employment under a more established locksmith. My big question is, as there's no licensing requirement here in michigan, will I be albe to get employment as my convictions are not theft or fraud related. I had a run in with alcohol in my car, but wasn't actually driving, as the police report states. Also, I have a domestic violence conviction, although, again, as the police reports state, I never laid hands on anyone, and it's clearly noted that all assault was verbal. I'd gotten into an argument with my brother when I was 18, and unfortunately said argument was in public. My driving record isn't perfect, as i have the "under 21 with any blood alcohol level" charge. Unfortunately michigan has a strict zero tolerance law, which includes sleeping in your car while intoxicated. Any help on this would be much appreciated.
