Any tips to improve pick resistance of a tubular lock?

I think it is more a cost related issue. SFIC is significantly more expensive than many of the existing locally produced (or produced for local market) products.

Combined with the extra cost of special hardware required only for SFIC or LFIC cylinders and the cost:function ratio increases too much.

I spent a whole afternoon with my friend... we talked about all the improvement ideas for his company locks.
He was quite unsure about the possibility to develop some ideas but he reported all of them to his boss.
They decided to start with the less complex ones: they'll change the springs and pins on some locks and then we'll test them together.

The same day he gave me a "toy" I suggested him to buy from our sponsor (lockpickshop).

Since now I had no luck with this tool... it's a lot heavier and bigger than the tools I use (you can see them on the left in the first picture).
Anyway I just watched the video that comes with the tool and now I'm ready to give it another try. I have to give it back to him soon but I guess I can play with it for a couple of weeks 8)

I'll keep you updated.

Cheers :)

just a quick update: the tool works like a charm once you get a feel for it. It's heavy and big but if you put it perpendicular to the lock surface it will stay in place on its own. Then again light tension is the key.

Amazing tool but I can't follow the instructions: I pick the lock just by pushing down the probes with my fingers, then I tighten the screws.

Cheers :)

Raymond, I think SFIC locks are not used here because a euro profile lock is almost the same thing. You can easily change it just by unscrewing a bolt, so there was no need for a most complicated lock to do the same thing.

Yes, it is really nice tips to us. It is very useful for everyone. They have given specific and very clear information about that so there is no problem with it.
