Key Slide Idea

I'm crap for drawing, but we have a slide the sits below the key pins and has beveled front end so when it comes back it pushes them back into the bible. There is a spring at the end of the plug and the right way to move the slide is to push the bottom of the the keyway end to allow the key pins to drop through the holes in the slide. Just an idea. Also the pin on the left have a horse she driver pin and a key pint that comes to a point can even spool the horse shoe, but the key pin fits inside the horeshoe. Just some napking drawings I was doing during a meeting.

If I uderstand this correctly.

The basic idea is that when the lock is at the resting postition the key pins would be overlifted. Since the will all be held up by the slider.

The only problem I see is that it would be too easy to use a longer tension wrench to push on the back of the lock, and hold it there, prior to picking the pins.

If you implemented this in an already existing lock. And then if someone tied to pick the lock, they would likely come to the conclusion that the lock is broken. Then again they may be able to see/find the slider piece fairly easily. It would be difficult to hide the slider piece that's lifting all the pins.

Very true with the tension wrench i had thought about that, maybe a side pin to unlock the backside of the slide? I'm just screwing around here, nothing serious I actually had scribled this during a meeting and was like hmm, wonder if it would work. Thanks for the feedback.

That slide has to have a huge chamfer/bevel in order to lift the key pins.
